Raised in Eugene, and a graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, Heidi has held many positions giving her the experience to help you create the occasion of your dreams. During her studies at the CIA she trained with well-known Napa Valley caterer Elaine Bell. There she catered elaborate vineyard weddings, private dinners and gala events. Upon graduation, Heidi completed a graduate teaching fellowship at the CIA. She later worked at the Finch Tavern in Westchester County in New York, creating local, high-end Hudson Valley fare. Heidi is also a managing chef for the American Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival that sets up a temporary restaurant on the beach. Each year in May she attends the festival and caters large events and small, intimate cocktail parties for the rich and famous of the Cote d’Azur region. Heidi also has spent much time abroad in Europe, traveling to small towns and integrating herself into their culture. Spending time wandering through local markets and cooking local food of each particular region. Heidi Tunnell Catering Company was started by Heidi Tunnell in 2005 with a desire to work with clients and create individualized meal experiences. Since the beginning she has created many memorable meals for her clients from the very simple to the very elaborate. HTCC is a different experience than most people are used to, Heidi will create a menu especially designed for your tastes and help design the entire evening from flowers to table settings making it a very stress-free and simple evening for you and your guests.
