Monthly Dinners MOVING to THURSDAYS!

Starting in April…

We’re MOVING our Wednesday Night Dinners to THURSDAYS. We will be re-naming them our “Thursday Night Family Style Dinners”. With this move you will see some other changes made to get the dinners back on track to our original focus of being of “casual, comfort” meals. Here’s a little bit of what you’ll see: Dinner will be at 6:30pm. At 6pm the doors will open and we’ll have live music, appetizers, beer and wine available for purchase while mingling during this half and hour. Seating will happen at our long tables, so if you specifically want to sit next to a certain party please make a note in your reservation. Dinners will be served family style in a more comfortable, relaxed setting.

Barn Dinner – Schedule Change!

Barn Dinner Sign So, I have some news that has caused a little shake up in the Barn Dinner schedule for 2011. I can’t really keep it a secret much longer because people will start to notice the little bump forming in my belly… that’s right, I am pregnant! This made me decide that for my sanity and health (and the sanity of all my staff) that we would better be able to serve you by cancelling both the July 30 and August 20th barn dinner dates for this year. This decision was very hard for us to make here because we were very much looking forward to both of those winemakers coming down to join us.

REVISED BARN DINNER SCHEDULE 2011 as of Feb. 21, 2011:
May 7th – Capitello Wines
June 11th – Boedecker Cellars
September 17th – Domaine Meriwether Sparkling Wine Dinner
Ocotober 1st – Pig Roast / Oakshire Brewing Company

Watch our calender and emails for the announcement later this year of our new “Winter Barn Dinners” that will be taking place at our downtown Creswell location. These dinners will be multi course, wine paired dinners with guest winemakers just like our summer dinners only in the comfort of a warm building!

We apologize if this has caused problems with your plans to attend a dinner this year and hope that we will see you at one of the other four dates that we still have on the calender for this year!

There’s so much happening at HTCC!

OKTOBERFEST!

Tomorrow we are kicking off the Creswell Farmer’s Market moving to our location and staying open YEAR ROUND! Yes, that’s right, every Tuesday from 4-6pm you will be able to come to HTCC and pick up produce and other products from local farms!

We’re having a party to kick all of that off TOMORROW, OCTOBER 12th! Join us for OKTOBERFEST, HTCC style. We’ll be partying from 4-9pm at our kitchen in Creswell – 182 South 2nd Street. We have LIVE MUSIC – The Procrastinators, OAKSHIRE BREWING CO. – sampling (and selling) their Harvest Ale, and DELICIOUS HTCC FOODS – House Made Bratwursts, Sauerkraut (by Sweetwater Farm), Meat Pies, House Made Pretzels and House Made Mustard for those pretzels!

No reservations needed, just come on down and have a good time! We hope to see you here tomorrow.

COOKING CLASSES!

Yes, that’s right we finally announced some cooking classes for this fall. Join us for Hand’s On Cooking Classes here in our kitchen! Reservations can be made here on our website on our Make A Reservation page by clicking on the button that says Make a Reservation for A Cooking Class, the dates and classes are as follows:

October 29, 2010 – Cooking 101 – Roasting, Green Vegetable Cookery, Basic Knife Skills – 6-9pm – Meal with products that we’ve cooked in the class. $45 / person

November 10, 2010 – Basic Doughs – 123 Pie Dough, 321 Cookie Dough, Basic Lean Bread Dough – 6-9pm – Meal with products that we’ve cooked in the class. $45 / person

November 21, 2010 – Fall Meal – We’ll see what’s at the market this week and be cooking a seasonally appropriate meal. – 4-7pm – Meal with products that we’ve cooked in the class. $45 / person

WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNER!

WOW! This month is the ONE YEAR anniversary of us starting our once-monthly Wednesday Night Dinners! Time sure flies when you’re having fun. :-) We’ll be celebrating by having the same menu we had last October – our ever popular House Made Meatloaf! We take locally raised pork and beef, grind it here in our kitchen, bake it with House Made Bacon (Yipee!) wrapped over the top…talk about the perfect comfort-fall appropriate meal. We’re excited and so are many others, make sure to get your reservations in before this all fills up!
